Hello backers!
The Servants of Ryūgū posters have all been shipped out via Japan Post.
Anyone who ordered a poster will be receiving an email from Japan Post with your tracking number in it. Check your spam folders if you didn't get anything!
Because these are traveling by sea mail from Japan, it may take anywhere from 1 to 3 months to arrive, depending on the country.
Additionally, if you missed out on the chance to get a poster or if you want to order another, they are now available at the yokai.com web shop here: https://yokai.com/shop/
I'll have another update soon when the books are finished.
Servants of Ryugu Posters Are Finished!

Yesterday I received the Servants of Ryugu posters from the printer!
They look absolutely awesome! I wasn't sure what the final product would look like, because printing on Japanese washi paper is very different from your typical heavy poster paper, but the washi turned out gorgeous!
Because washi holds ink differently than ordinary paper, the colors are more subtle and gentle than on ordinary paper. The fibers of the washi also show in the prints, and they reflect light in a very different way than smooth paper does. These have a much more matte finish than glossy poster paper, and the fibers are visible up close, giving the solid colors a wonderful texture, as you can see in this close up:
This was a unique reward that I was really excited to try for this Kickstarter, and I'm so happy that they turned out this beautiful! These are going to look great on your walls, or wherever you hang them. They'll be shipping out later this month, in a separate shipment from the book orders, so you'll receive them soon.
Address Are Locked, Ebooks Distributing Soon!

As of today, addresses are locked down for all backers who have completed their surveys. (Those of you who still haven't finished your surveys, please do so immediately... otherwise there's no way I can send you your rewards.)
Books and posters are currently being printed. I am expecting them to be delivered after the Obon holiday in mid-August. Shipping will begin in September, but because of the volume of rewards it will take several months to complete all the orders. Books, postcards, and art prints will ship together, while the Servants of Ryugu poster will ship separately, and thus will probably arrive at a different time from the other physical goods.
In the meantime, while you're waiting for your physical rewards, you can enjoy your digital rewards! Ebooks have been compiled and will be distributed by Backerkit very soon! The ebooks come in both print-replica pdf and reflowable epub format, and are DRM-free so they can be converted into other formats to enjoy them in whatever software you like. So keep your eyes open for an email from Backerkit with your download links (or you can just log in to Backerkit to download the rewards from your account directly).
It's really exciting to finally get to share the digital versions of these books with you all after such a long time! I hope you enjoy them. I'll have more updates about the physical rewards soon!

I hope you're all having a great summer (or winter, depending on what hemisphere you are in).
Book production is in full speed, and I am expecting to receive a large shipment of books from the manufacturers in mid-August. After that, shipping will begin right away! Thus, it is time double check your addresses before the system locks down.
Shipping addresses will lock down at the end of July. After that, it will not be possible to change your address. There's a little over one week left in the month now, so please visit the pledge manager at dragon.backerkit.com and make sure your shipping address is accurate. If you've moved since you input your address, please update it.

Hello backers!
It's been a while since the last campaign update, so I just wanted to give a brief check in on where the project is right now.
The books is in production right now, being printed and bound here in Japan at a factory in Nagano Prefecture. While printing in Japan is a bit more expensive than doing so in China or Korea, it offers a lot of benefits, such as the ability to see color tests in person and better communication with the printers, as well as much better quality assurance.
The books are estimated to take about 1 month to produce, after which they'll be shipped to my warehouse here in Fukui Prefecture, and shipping will begin. As we get closer to that date, I will send out a last call to confirm your shipping addresses before locking them down.
I am also focusing on production of the prints, postcards, and Servants of Ryugu posters, which will be ready to begin shipping in August/September with the books.
Ebook production is ongoing, but I am prioritizing the physical goods. The ebook should be ready by the time shipping begins, so you'll be able to see that before your physical rewards are shipped out.
In the meantime, there are still several backers who have not completed their surveys. If you haven't done so yet, please make sure to complete that vital step. You will not receive your books without completing your survey and confirming your address!
